Dolly Parton Opening Pirate-Themed Restaurant In Florida
Have you heard the big news about Dolly Parton? She’s opening one of her famed restaurants in Florida.
Her restaurant concept is coming to Panama City Beach.
I’ve loved Dolly Parton ever since I first saw her in the movie 9 to 5. Of course, she’s the Queen of Country and an incredible singer. She’s quite an actress, too. We saw a life-size cut-out of her at Cracker Barrell. My daughter say it and said, “Who is that?” I said, “She’s one of the most famous singers of all time. But she’s also an incredible businesswoman.”
Not only does she have Dollywood, the amusement park, but she is also a big philanthropist and restauranter.
On Thursday, her team made the big announcement. Dolly Parton is opening a restaurant in Florida. Specifically, in Panama City Beach in Pier Park near Chipotle.

But it’s not going to be just any restaurant. It’s going to be a dinner theater. I love interactive dinner theater. She has a concept in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee that is similar. This one will be a pirate theme. I wonder if it is a hit in Panama City Beach if we might expect one in Tampa, what with our pirate lore.
Panama City Beach Mayor Mark Sheldon said about the opening and Parton, “She’s a legend. She’s iconic. There’s no one who cares more about community than Dolly herself. So during this process, it’s been amazing to see another great community partner who wants to invest in Panama City Beach and make this a staple business model for them.”
