Three New Florida Lottery Millionaires Are All From Tampa Bay Area
With the recent changes in our lives due to the Coronavirus, it’s nice to know that some things are staying the same. I’m referring to the rash of Floridians that have been winning millions of dollars, week after week from the Florida Lottery.
According to the Florida Lottery web site, there are three brand new millionaires residing in Florida this week, all of them being from the Tampa Bay area.
On Wednesday March 18th, 70 year-old Mary Otero of Tampa, claimed one of the $1 million top prizes from the new scratch-off ticket, Fastest Road To $1,000,000. Ms. Otero bought her $30 winning ticket from Thornton’s, which is located at 4103 Gunn Highway in Tampa. She elected to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.
On March 19th, 60 year-old Timothy Mangan of Tarpon Springs, also claimed another of the $1 million top prizes from the the same game, the new Fastest Road To $1,000,000 scratch-off game. Mr. Mangan says he purchased his $30 winning ticket from the Publix, located at 36301 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor. As with Ms. Otero, Mr. Mangan elected to receive his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.
And as always both retailers, (Thornton’s in Tampa and Publix in Palm Harbor), will each receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The third millionaire reported by the Florida Lottery this week is 51 year-old Marvin Klinger of Lakeland. Mr. Klinger was lucky enough to win a $2 million top prize from the 100X scratch-off game.
Mr. Klinger purchased his winning $10 ticket from Store 11, located at 1405 North Combee Road in Lakeland. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,605,000.00. WOW! That’s awesome.
That retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
All I can say is that in these somewhat complicated times right now, it nice to hear a bit of good news for a change. We’d like to congratulate the winners, and remind everyone to keep your fingers crossed… it just may be be you one day.
