Plane Lands on Bruce B Downs Median in Tampa

Wow… the photos are just coming in now from a crazy incident this morning in Tampa.

Channel 8 reports a plane landed near the intersection of Bruce B Downs and I-75 this morning. Fortunately the landing looks like it happened in an empty grassy area of a median.

Michael King from WTSP tweeted that the pilot is ok. Man this could have been so much worse. Looks like the pilot did some amazing work to keep everyone on the ground safe. [Source: Channel 8]

  Hold On To The Nights… well this night: Tuesday, March 22, 2022. That’s when ’80s ballad master Richard Marx will be in Clearwater for a performance at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre. It’ll be a night of acoustic performances of some of his biggest Q105 hits like “Right Here Waiting,” “Hold On To The Nights,” “Don’t Mean Nothing,” “Should’ve Known Better” and “Endless Summer Nights.” He’ll also sprinkle in a few hits he’s written for other artists.

  Miami's show will be on June 18. The next night the tour comes to Orlando. Then the tour moves north but comes back to Florida for a show in Jacksonville on July 2. Unfortunately still no word of any Tampa dates for the tour.

  A rare chance to see an intimate performance with Rod at the Hard Rock Event Center in Tampa. The last time Rod played the room, he walked out on stage and saw the small audience and jokingly asked if he was getting his normal fee.
