Exciting news for Busch Gardens! Walking around Busch Gardens last week I noticed the bar at the Serengeti Overlook Restaurant was under construction and now I know why. Busch Gardens has a new giraffe-themed bar near the safari. You can now enjoy a bite to eat or grab a drink while watching giraffes, zebra, antelope, and ostrich on the safari.
Guests have the opportunity to visit during a soft opening starting March 19. The venue will officially open on Friday, March 26.
They will offer frozen specialty cocktails with giraffe themes, have a full liquor bar and flights of craft beer. Pass Members who visit Monday through Thursday by April 29, can grab a collectible Giraffe Bar color-changing pilsner with the purchase of a frozen cocktail or draft beer.
In addition to the new bar, they announced the newest addition on the safari, a 2-month-old baby giraffe named Cedora. After a couple of months of spending her days with mom, Cedora can now be seen wandering around Busch Gardens 65-acre Serengeti plain. She joins a new male giraffe named Beacon who was born last summer.
Another great way to see all the animals is by taking the Serengeti Express train or by booking a Serengeti Safari, where you can hand-feed the animals and get some amazing up-close pictures. Busch Gardens opens at 10 am and mask are required throughout the park.
