VIDEO: Sharks and Manatees Huddle Together To Stay Warm in Apollo Beach
You’re not the only one who thinks this weather is a bit too chilly. Temperatures in some parts of the Tampa area dropped briefly into the 30s this week. And now that it’s back open to the public, we get to see the manatees again at the viewing center in Apollo Beach. It was closed last year due to the pandemic.
Check out this video captured by our friends over at ABC Action News. Taken from high above in a helicopter, the footage shows manatees and sharks swimming together as they try to keep warm! If you’ve never gone to the TECO Viewing Center, pop this into your GPS: 6990 Dickman Rd, Apollo Beach, FL 33572. You can reach the center by calling (813) 228-4289.
