VIDEO: Sharks and Manatees Huddle Together To Stay Warm in Apollo Beach

You’re not the only one who thinks this weather is a bit too chilly. Temperatures in some parts of the Tampa area dropped briefly into the 30s this week. And now that it’s back open to the public, we get to see the manatees again at the viewing center in Apollo Beach. It was closed last year due to the pandemic.

Check out this video captured by our friends over at ABC Action News. Taken from high above in a helicopter, the footage shows manatees and sharks swimming together as they try to keep warm!   A Great White Shark is attracted by a lure on the 'Shark Lady Adventure Tour' in Gansbaai, South Africa. The lure, usually a tuna head, is attached to a buoy and thrown into the water in front of the cage with the divers. The waters off Gansbaai are the best place in the world to see Great White Sharks, due to the abundance of prey such as seals and penguins which live and breed on Dyer Island, which lies 8km from the mainland.

  Hold On To The Nights… well this night: Tuesday, March 22, 2022. That’s when ’80s ballad master Richard Marx will be in Clearwater for a performance at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre. It’ll be a night of acoustic performances of some of his biggest Q105 hits like “Right Here Waiting,” “Hold On To The Nights,” “Don’t Mean Nothing,” “Should’ve Known Better” and “Endless Summer Nights.” He’ll also sprinkle in a few hits he’s written for other artists.
