Florida Man Races Driver On The Courtney Campbell Doing 124 MPH… One Problem
Early Friday morning, the Tampa Bay Times reports 20 year old Connor Michael Proleika decided to challenge a fellow driver to a race on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. They say he rev’d up his engine and indicated he was ready to go. There was one minor problem Connor probably didn’t anticipate. His challenger was a Clearwater cop. The report says he reached 124 miles per hour. So Connor probably thought he was winning. Not so much. Once the race was over, cops found out he was on probation. His record included grand theft and possession of a controlled substance. Connor’s defense? He was “just trying to go fast” and didn’t know his challenger was a police officer. I don’t see a future for him as a lawyer. He’s sitting in Pinellas County Jail.
