- Attack categories, not rooms. Don’t go room by room perfecting each space. Instead, for example, pull out all of your clothes and go through them, deciding what you need to keep or get rid of.
- Nostalgia is a bad thing when it comes to living a clutter-free life. De-cluttering is not a stroll down memory lane. It’s a purposeful purge.
- Re-invent yourself with your exercise in de-cluttering. It’s not about who you were. It’s who you are and who you want to be. What items support that? What items bring you joy.
