Improvements To Florida Unemployment Website
Frustrating times for many Floridians who have lost jobs. To add to their frustration and worry are the inefficiencies of the unemployment website and call center.
But Governor Ron DeSantis said that is changing. “This virus has rocked the economic foundations of our state and our country,” he said at his economic roundtable yesterday.
Last week Florida’s Claims Assistance Center got 3.8 million calls, and the state’s CONNECT website couldn’t handle all the traffic.
It’s created a lot of problems for people trying to deal with having lost their job. DeSantis added, “We are in a situation where people have lost their jobs. They’re looking for relief, and they are having a lot of difficulty.”
But there is good news because now they’ve added 72 servers to expand capacity on the CONNECT unemployment website.
