How Likely Are You To Catch COVID-19 At A Tampa Bay Area Beach Or Pool?
We know there are things we can do to lower our risk of catching COVID-19.
Dr. Jay Wolfson is the senior associate dean of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He says, “Avoid crowded places, avoid groups of 10 people or more who you don’t know. Wash your hands a lot, don’t touch your face, wear a mask when you’re outside with other people.”
But what about when it comes to going to the beach or the pool? How risky is it? According to the experts, it is relatively low risk. There is no evidence that supports the idea that you could contact it from water. And being outside, in general (as long as your not close to other people), is generally low risk. Just try to stay six to 10 feet away from people outside of your small group.

For many folks who are ready, it feels great to get back outside, participating in recreational activities. Lots of people are excited to get back to Disney, too. Here are some of Geno’s favorite Disney memories.
