Hurricane Season Is Officially Here
It begins on June 1st and goes through until November 30th. Hurricane Season.
It’s expected to be a busy one. And with it amidst the coronavirus pandemic, protocol may change in regards to evacuations and shelter from impending storms. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts that we will see 13 to 19 named storms. They are expecting 6 to 10 of those will be hurricanes. And if that’s the case, this season will set a record with it being the fifth straight year of above-normal activity. Storms typically peak in late summer (August and September).
If there is anything we’ve learned over the last couple of months, it’s that anything can happen, so try to be prepared when you do have the opportunity to be prepared. So take advantage of that Hurricane-season tax-free shopping. It’s going on in Florida through June 4th.
