Extended Layoffs At Tampa International Airport And Amalie Arena?
It could happen to many employees in the food and beverage service and hospitality sectors.
Delaware North Companies, Inc. sources arenas and airports with employees. They have extended layoffs for hundreds of employees at two local entities, Amalie Arena and Tampa International Airport. Specifically, 592 employees at Amalie Arena and 139 employees at Tampa International Airport would be affected.
We are in such stressful times for employees in food and beverage and hospitalities industries in general. But then when you factor in employment in those industries that are also tied to sports/entertainment venues and/or travel, it’s even worse.
