How You Can Be The Distant Thunder To Support The Tampa Bay Lightning
The NHL is no different than other sports in that the games will start up without fans.
But the Tampa Bay lightning still needs the support of their fans. They’ve put out a release saying: “Bolts Nation, we need you now more than ever. Send a message of support by signing actual glass from Amalie Arena that will travel with the team to Toronto. Because no matter the distance, we know you don’t have to be with us, to be with us. It’s time to Be The Distant Thunder.”
Because Amalie Arena is closed right now, the event will occur outside at Ford Thunder Alley. Participants will still be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing even though the event is outside.
The Lightning have no shortage of fans, as this event sold out in less than an hour of the announcment.
Get ready to cheer on the team (at least from your couch). The Bolts first exhibition game will be on July 29th against The Florida Panthers.
