11 Year-Old Pensacola Girl Escapes Attempted Kidnapping
A suspect is in custody after he attempted to kidnap an 11 year-old girl early Tuesday morning in Escambia County, FL. According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the 30 year-old suspect tried to grab the girl as she was waiting for her bus to arrive at 7 a.m. Sheriff Chip Simmons says the kidnapper had a knife in his hand when he approached the girl.
Surveillance video was released by the Sheriff’s Office. As you can see in the video below, the man gets out of his Dodge SUV and sprints at the girl who is kneeling in the grass.

This wasn’t the first time this man approached the girl. According to Sheriff Simmons, the 11 year-old told her parents and teachers about a man who approached her and made her “feel uncomfortable.”
