MJTV: Roxanne Evaluates MJ’s Dream

MJ asks Roxanne, also known as the MJ Morning Show Dream Weaver, what his dream means.

Last night, MJ dreamt that he was in a parking garage, and a very attractive woman asked MJ if he wanted a massage. Even though this was a super specific scenario in his head, MJ is curious if this has anything to do with his personal life.

Roxanne thinks she has the meaning, and she tells MJ in today’s MJTV.

Maybe MJ should listen to these popular dream songs.

  David Lee Roth reminds us that he can sing on this song, and his lyrics are a bit more empathetic than usual: “And then they went and they voted you/Least likely to succeed/I had to tell them baby you were armed with/All you'd need.” As flashy as Eddie could be, he knew how to let the song breathe; his playing during the verses dances around Roth’s narration. Of course, he also gets his time to shine on his wailing solo.

Co-written by Petty, Lynne and Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell, "Runnin' Down A Dream" might just be one of the simplest and yet most profound allegory about life itself. All of us have hopes and dreams, and every single day, we get a chance to work on that mystery and go wherever it leads to make them happen. If you by chance have Del Shannon's "Runaway" playing as all of this is going down, consider it a bonus.

  This was Ozzy’s take on John Lennon’s “Imagine” (“Your higher power may be God or Jesus Christ/It doesn't really matter much to me/Without each other’s help there ain't no hope for us. The song, co-written with Mick Jones of Foreigner and Aerosmith collaborator Marti Frederiksen was definitely aimed at radio, and ended it up with more gravitas than anyone could have imagined, as it was released just a month after 9/11.
