Officers Respond to Plane Crash in Hernando County
Hernando County Sheriff’s Office received a call Tuesday morning about a plane crash in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area. Apparently, two people were flying in a small airplane when it crashed off of Three Bridges Road around 11 a.m.
WTSP reports that two men took flight from New Port Richey. Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating why the plane crashed, but they say the plane may have faced mechanical problems.
Photos were posted to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page this morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, the two men were being treated by medical personnel on the scene of the crash.
