She’s being referred to as the “Collier County Karen.”
A Collier County teacher has been placed on administrative leave after she was caught yelling racist comments to a mother and her children from her car this last weekend.
Here’s the news report from NBC 2.
Apparently, Patricia Schmidt is a special needs teacher in the Collier County school district. Officials are still reviewing this incident, but this isn’t the first time she’s had an issue with children. NBC2 also reports that Schmidt used “physical force” to restrain a kid back in 2019.
But her record goes further back. In a Naples Police report acquired by NBC2, Schmidt was arrested for battery back in 2002 for punching a bouncer.
