Clearwater Man Arrested for Trying to Steal Snickers Bar with a Knife
A Clearwater man is facing charges after he attempted to rob a Largo Wawa with a pocket knife over a Snickers bar. 49-year-old Eric Minto allegedly threatened an employee at knifepoint after he was denied free food from the gas station, according to Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Apparently he told one of the Wawa employees, “Don’t make do something stupid for a Snickers bar.”
After the victim let Minto have the Snickers bar, Minto apparently left the Wawa with the Snickers still on the counter. After PSCO deputies found and arrested Minto, they say he admitted to opening the pocket knife in the store but denied threatening the employee. Minto reportedly said he was just trying to trade the knife for candy.
