Publix Stores That Can Now Renew Your Car’s Registration
There are a few Florida counties where you can now renew your car’s registration.
The latest county to offer registration renewal is Seminole County. Locally, the others are Polk, Hillsborough, Manatee and Brevard counties. Renewing your car’s registration can now be done at a kiosk inside some Publix stores. The touchscreen machines can be found near the check-out lines. Put in your information, and the machine will print out a license plate sticker.
Here’s what you need to be eligible: Vehicle registrations that don’t require a new license plate to be issued, registrations that don’t have insurance, driver license, or toll suspensions, registrations that do not require a Florida Certificate of Insurance or IRS Heavy Vehicle Use Tax “2290”
Some of the locations include:
- 1313 S. Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa
- 19034 Bruce B Downs Blvd in New Tampa
- 7835 Gunn Hwy in Tampa
- 2500 34th St. North in St. Petersburg
- 1663 Gulf to Bay Blvd. in Clearwater
- 4701 Park Blvd. N in Pinellas Park
- 11255 Causeway Blvd in Brandon
These registrations can’t use the kiosk for renewal: Autonomous vehicles, boats, government vehicles, IRP registrations, mobile homes, National Guard license plates, personalized plates, parking permit or placards

Bring proof of insurance, which will be verified by the machine. License or toll violations will not allow you to renew your tag.
