BODY CAM: Florida Police Officer Tasers Knife Wielding Woman in Walmart
A Marion County deputy had to pull out his taser when a woman in Walmart began threatening people with a knife last Wednesday.
Police say 32-year-old Brandy McGowan entered the Walmart with a brick and started threatening people in the store. Apparently, she then opened up a knife from its packaging inside the store. Police were called to the scene and found her in the clothing department of the Walmart.
Police had to tell McGowan to “drop the knife” several times before the deputy finally hit her with the taser.

Police found out that McGowan had used 4 grams of meth earlier that day. After being released from the hospital for an evaluation, she was booked in the Marion County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reports say.
