Fox 13’s Linda Hurtado Has A New Book Release: All The Broken Girls
Linda Bond’s latest novel, All the Broken Girls, follows crime reporter Mari Alavarez as she tries to solve the mystery of who murdered her mother a decade ago.
Mari works at a TV station in Tampa, Florida, and after a woman is gunned down at the doorstep of her West Tampa neighborhood home, Mari can’t figure out why the two crimes have a similar feel.
This is Linda Bond’s first foray into the crime novel genre. She certainly has the street cred to write such a novel, as she’s been a reporter and anchor in Tampa for twenty-seven years. You may know her as Linda Hurtado if you watch her newscasts on Fox 13.
I loved catching up with Linda and finding out all about her passion for writing and how she juggles her writing with her full-time career as a news anchor.

'Frozen Stiffs' Ice Cream Hearse Visits The MJ Morning Show
MJ heard about a guy rolling around Tampa Bay in an old hearse selling ice cream. Well, we tracked him down and invited him to bring Ice Cream to the entire radio station.
Anthony Lamont, owner of “Frozen Stiffs” served up some ghoulishly delicious ice cream treats to everyone. MJ got the Ice Cream Sandwich while Fester scored one of the last few Choco Tacos left in the world!
MJ treated the radio stations, plus some of the other offices in our building, to some early ice cream. Anthony and the “Frozen Stiffs” Ice Cream Hearse doesn’t drive through neighborhoods like your average ice cream truck. Based in the Tampa area, he does book parties, corporate events, funerals and apparently radio stations. You can learn more about “Frozen Stiffs” ice cream truck here.
