Snake On A Plane Out Of Tampa
Picture yourself traveling. As you stand up to gather your carry-on and exit the plane, would you expect to look down the aisle and see a snake slithering on down?
Probably not! But that’s what happened on a flight from Tampa International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport.
Officials responded to a call that a garter snake was on the United Airlines flight on Monday.
The airport’s wildlife operations staff and Port Authority Police Department commandeered the snake, and it was released into the wild.
Thankfully, garter snakes are not venomous. They are prevalent in Florida; they’re in every county around the state. They are also not aggressive and only bite if they are provoked.
Doesn’t this story remind you of Samuel L. Jackson’s Snakes on a Plane? But at least it was only one harmless snake and not dozens of venomous snakes like it was in the movie.
We tried to imagine how the garter snake ended up on the flight. The most likely scenario is that it just slithered into someone’s carry-on bag, coiled up, and then apparently knew enough about air travel, that it new how to find its way to the aisle to head for the exit door.

Roxanne's Favorite "Less Expensive" Things To Do At Disney When You're At Disney
Last weekend I took my kids to Disney World. MJ teased me that I was a bad mom for not taking them to the parks. But there’s no hard and fast rule that you MUST take your kids to a park while you are staying at Disney World. We found plenty of other things to do that, some of which were free with our stay. My kid are 5 and 2 and they were THOROUGHLY entertained. (These ideas may not work for kids of all ages).
And by the way, I titled this “less expensive” things to do at Disney, but technically, they are all free (with your hotel stay).
