Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Park Transformed Into Winter Village
Looking for fun holiday things to do in the Tampa Bay area that give you winter vibes even though we are in a warm environment?
You should check out Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. You can enjoy local food and gift vendors, train rides, a gorgeous display of illumination, lights display, and ice skating. Winter Village will also host holiday movies in the park. And if you live in St. Pete, it’s easy to make your way over on the Cross-Bay Ferry. You can enjoy these winter festivities from now until January 4.
The “Movies in the Park” is a cool collaboration with Tampa Theatre. Nothing like a holiday movie to lift your spirits. You can also expect to spot Santa at Winter Village. And mark your calendar for the lighted boat parade along Tampa’s Riverwalk on December 10.
And if you prefer trains to boats, check out the Curtis Hixon Park Choo Choo. It’s a quick ride through the park will you’ll take in all the lights on display. And it’s free and doesn’t require reservations.
The Winter Village Express guides you through Tampa’s Downtown, from Whiting Station to Ybor city. And this is more than a scenic tour of downtown. You can eat and drink delicious milk and cookie. Just like Santa!
