Major Tampa Road Closure Overnight March 21st
If you use the interstate system in Tampa, you’ll want to be aware of this overnight Tampa road closure.
As the project of the I-275 Capacity Improvements continues, some road and ramp closures are necessary. Tonight, March 21, there will be a major ramp closure overnight. Here are the details:
The ramp connecting southbound I-275 to eastbound I-4 will need to be closed overnight. The closure will begin at 11 p.m. The ramp is expected to reopen around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22.
Here is the detour information for this overnight closure. Drivers southbound on I-275 wishing to head east on I-4 will need to take the Jefferson Street exit (Exit 45A). Staying left at the fork, follow signs to “Downtown East.” Turn LEFT onto Scott Street and re-enter the interstate using the northbound I-275 entrance ramp that takes you to I-4 (Exit 45B). There will be signs to follow through the detour.
