Hillsborough River Rubber Duck Race
Have you ever watched the rubber duck race on the Hillsborough River? It’s quite a site.
On April 8, the Kiwanis Club of Tampa will put on a really cool event, racing more that 10,000 rubber ducks on the Hillsborough River. Cash prizes are up for grabs for the first three ducks that cross the finish line. The big race is happening at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown. You can pick a duck for $5. Of course, all proceeds will go to the Kiwanis Club of Tampa.
If you’re not familiar with what the Tampa Kiwanis Club is about, they’ve been assisting children in our local community for more than 100 years. Some of their endeavors have included building ramps for kids with disabilities and buying holiday gifts for children in need.

Four Favorite Wellness Treatments In Tampa
You only have one body so you may as well try your best to take care of it. There are some wellness treatments available in Tampa that you might want to try to incorporate into your routine.
If you want to stay healthy, there a couple of important things you need to focus on daily: proper nutrition and hydration; adequate sleep; movement. After you’ve gotten those areas under control, there other modalities and treatments you can look at that can improve your overall health and wellness.
Have you ever gotten a chiropractic adjustment? Chiropractic treatments can help you with spine alignment and relief from back and joint pain. I love Conforti Chiropractic, because they treat your whole body, offering nutritional information and exercises to do at home.
I love to get massages. You can go for a Swedish massage to soothe tired muscles. Or you can go for a deep tissue massage to work out knotted muscles in a more therapeutic manner. Either way, a massage is guaranteed to help you de-stress and relax. It’s easy when you have a membership at a place like Massage Envy.
I’m a big fan of acupuncture. I was first introduced to it when I was trying to get pregnant and someone told me that it could help to make fertility treatments work better. I’m scared of needles, but acupuncture needles are so tiny. You don’t feel them at all. And it’s so relaxing to just lie there and not do ANYTHING while the needles are in place.
Have you tried cryotherapy? Shocking your body by exposing it to low temperatures in a cryochamber for a short period of time can be very helpful to your body and help with circulation. You can experience cryotherapy and/or red-light therapy at Restore Hyper Wellness in Westchase.
