Tampa Company’s Trial Of The 4-Day Work Week Reaps Rewards
A company in Tampa, Brick Media, tried out a 4-day work week program with their employees and discovered some positive results.
The trial went on for a 3-month period and affected 15 employees.
Jeff Kurtz is the CEO of Brick Media, and he said, “I think they’re (employees) happier than they’ve ever been. Every single person on the team wanted to keep it…I literally can’t think of a single hiccup that has happened.”
Not only did employees appreciate the 4-day work week, but productivity improved, and sick day usage declined. Overall, this really helped with employee work satisfaction.
Though they worked longer days Monday through Thursday, employees were able to use the 3 days of for trips, errands…whatever they wanted to.
Now the 4-day work week is here to stay at Tampa’s Brick Media.
I always feel like a 2-day weekend is never long enough. Maybe there’s enough time to do something fun with loved ones. Or maybe there’s time to catch up on your responsibilities around the house, but never enough time for both. That wouldn’t be the case if we had 3-day weekends, right?

Four Differences Between Tampa EDITION And Miami EDITION Hotels
It’s exciting for Tampa to have its first five-star hotel, which is the Tampa EDITION. If you’ve stayed at both the Tampa and Miami EDITION hotels, you’ll know they have signature luxury decor and design, restaurants with amazing food prepared by award-winning chefs, and great bars for cocktails.
But there are some key differences. Both hotels are very chic and cater to tourists and locals, alike. Here’s how they differ. The lobby in the Tampa EDITION is so green! Plants are everywhere! There are many more plants than there are places to sit down.
The hotel in Miami is on South Beach so you can enjoy oceanfront views and go take a dip in the Atlantic. In Tampa, the hotel is on Channelside Drive. It’s right across from Amalie Arena on one side and Water Street restaurants, including Boulon, on the other. You can visit Tampa and enjoy everything downtown has to offer. It’s all relatively close. If you are going to a South Beach restaurant, it may be a 25-minute Uber ride if it’s at the other end of South Beach.
There are seven restaurants and bars, including a gorgeous rooftop bar. The lobby is stunning. There is so much greenery and elegance everywhere. You’ll see the design and be blown aways.
What I absolutely love about the Miami EDITION is the ice-skating rink and bowling alley. They are on the lower level, and there’s also a fancy bar inside the bowling alley. Such a cool place to take the whole family. The music, food, and special effects were outstanding.
Whether you are enjoying a visit to an EDITION Hotel on Florida’s east coast ore west coast, you will definitely have a great time.
