Amazing Gesture Helps Tampa Bay Lightning Fan’s Coworker In Need
We heard from an MJ Morning Show listener who is going through a treacherous time and was so moved when a Tampa Bay Lightning fan stepped up and offered the most amazing acts of kindness.
Our listener’s name is Amy.* Amy started a new job and around the time she was hired, she got a horrible diagnosis. She was diagnosed with breast cancer. But what happens when you start a new job? You don’t have vacation and sick time accrued. How would she be able to use sick time to take off work so she could receive her chemotherapy and radiation treatments if she had no sick time available? Maybe you’ve had a relative or a friend or maybe you, yourself, have battled cancer. It’s so scary to get that diagnosis. Then imagine having to worry about how you will be able to take time off when you have no time off available. Lucky for Amy, she was sitting next to a very kind man, one of her co-workers, in their training.
Random Act of Kindness
He offered to give her his accrued sick time so that she could receive the proper cancer treatments that she needed. What an amazing gesture. A random BIG act of kindness. Just when you’ve lost hope in humanity, a guy like this steps up and you realize that there are amazing people out there.
We are going to reach out to the Tampa Bay Lightning and mention how kind this guy is and explain what he did to help his co-worker. We want to see if they can do anything special for him at a game at Amalie Arena.
If you’re ever down and out, know there are good people, possibly random strangers, who will do good deeds to help you.
