We enjoyed brunch there yesterday. Let me tell you all about the three things I love about a Meat Market brunch in Hyde Park. And by the way, they are known for the happening night life scene, but don't sleep on brunch.
The brunch dishes are unique and tasty. They make the basic dishes, too, like Brioche French Toast covered in whipped cream and berries. I love to try new things, but I'm loyal to a certain dish at Meat Market's brunch. I always get this amazing gnocchi dish. The creamy sauce, the sundried tomatoes, the pork, the poached egg on top. I can't get enough.

Brunch at Meat Market
My daughter went for the duck with waffles dish. We have to teach her not to eat her duck like a big old turkey leg at a Rennaissance festival. (And by the way, we hit Meat Market quite often. We love to support the restaurant, because full disclosure, we have a little investment in it.)

At Meat Market Brunch in South Tampa
The second thing I love about Meat Market's brunch is the beverages and not just the adult beverages. They have fresh watermelon juice, magic lemonade, and their special melon in one drink. It's watermelon juice, lavender, and mint. Yum! An of course, they have tons of delicious choices for the adults.
You know what else is fun about Meat Market's brunch? The music. A DJ rolls in to spin at noon on Sunday. I love it. My kids love it. It totally kicks up the vibe. Speaking of my kids loving it, you normally think of a fancy brunch place to be for adults only. I kind of joke to servers, "it's kids' day here," as we walk to use the restroom. It's not exactly Chuck E. Cheese. But it works out fine, because the DJ plays music at the perfect decibel level and you can't hear my kids' chatter.
