Tampa’s Best Asian Fusion Restaurant Rice & Spice
If you want to dine at Tampa’s Best Asian Fusion Restaurant, I highly recommend that you try Rice & Spice off of Sheldon Rd.
I first heard about Rice & Spice because it was listed as one of the six Tampa restaurants to make Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in Florida. We visited Rice & Spice because we wanted to see if it lived up to the hype.
If you want fresh food, a clean and friendly atmosphere, and owners and staff who treat you like family, this is your place. Pradeth is the owner. He and his wife walk around and visit with all of the patrons. They remember names and whatever your favorite dish on the menu might be.
I’m a big fan of Asian Fusion cuisine and sushi, so I knew I would find something I loved. I had my eye on Pad Thai or a spicy tuna roll. But then Pradeth explained to me that they also served Laotian dishes. He recommended their Tipsy Noodle. This was my first foray into Laotian cuisine, and I’m hooked. Tipsy Noodle is a dish that includes stir fried wide rice noodles with egg, along with vegetables and basil leaves. If there was such a thing as Asian Fusian comfort food, this would be it. My kids have their go-to dishes, too. They always order the Crispy Volcano Chicken. Kids meals come with ice cream for dessert. The coconut ice cream and green tea ice creams are the best!
I’m not always a creature of habit. I love to try new things, but the Tipsy Noodle dish is so delish! I haven’t tried anything else, but if I can branch out, maybe next time I’ll try their Pineapple Fried Rice. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Every dish is a favorite at Tampa’s Bet Asian Fusion Restaurant, Rice & Spice.
