CLUE The Musical At Straz Center In Tampa
I’m so pumped about seeing Clue the Musical at Straz Center in Tampa. It’s a murder mystery musical you can’t miss.
The tour kicked off in Minneapolis and will make its way to Tampa’s Straz Center for the Perfoming Arts by the end of the month. As a kid, Clue, the Hasbro board game, was my absolute favorite. I loved playing it with my family. I mastered the art of noting every move made by every player and using logic to find out who did it, in what room, with what weapon first! And if I lost at Clue…it wasn’t pretty. Board game pieces would be flung across the room. I was a sore loser, at least when it came to that game.
I also watched Clue, the movie. The movie had three different endings, depending on which version you were watching. How cool!
CLUE the Musical at Straz Center In Tampa Plot
I’ve been reading reviews on CLUE the Musical. I’m anticipating it being a show with mystery, murder, and mayhem. It follows the traditional plot, as six guests convene at Boddy Manor. Mr. Boddy hosts Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, and Professor Plum. Call it a dark comedy. There’s one body, and six suspects. The audience plays along, trying to figure solve the mystery along with the cast. And in this production, there are plenty of laughs along with the twists. Was it Professor Plum in the conservatory with the revolver? Or was it Miss Scarlet in the kitchen with the lead pipe?
Broadway Director of Clue the Musical, Casey Hushion, also worked on Mean Girls and the Prom and the Netflix series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.”
