Boris The Camel Is A Hit At Florida’s Largest Home Show
If you happened to make it out to Florida’s Largest Home Show, did you get a chance to meet Boris the Camel?
Not only did we meet Boris, but we took a little ride on him, too. This was the first time Florida’s Largest Home Show was held at Tropicana Field. Parking was easy, and the vendors were able to spread out. It was a cool perspective to be able to see into the stadium. Being on the floor at the Trop gives you the same perspective that the Tampa Bay Rays players have when they are on the field so that was pretty cool.
There were many amazing home improvement vendors, but one of the things we really enjoyed about this edition of Florida’s Largest Home Show was the Kids Zone. There were lemur monkey’s, various games and…Boris the Camel!
Boris the Camel gave rides to both kids and adults. He seemed like a real sweetheart. You can’t sit on his hump. You have to sit either in front of his hump or behind his hump. Though Boris the Camel has a bumpy hump, it was a smooth ride around the ring.
Fun Facts About Camels At Florida’s Largest Home Show
In honor of meeting Boris the Camel, I wanted to share some fun camel facts. Camels have extra clear eyelids and long eyelashes. These all come in handy to help protect their eyes from sandstorms in the desert. The camel’s hump isn’t just an accoutrement. It serves an important purpose. This is where camels store fat, and it makes it possible for them to go for almost half a year with no food. As they go through their fat stores, the hump will flop over to the side. And yes, it’s true. Camels do have a nasty habit. No, not smoking camels. But they are spitters. But they just spit if they are feeling threatened.
It was a treat to run into this camel at Florida’s Largest Home Show and then take a ride on this cool camel.
