Ovations Dance Academy’s Production of CATS Coming To Dunedin
Ovations Dance Academy performers are preparing for their moment to shine on stage in their production of the famed Broadway musical, CATS. Jellicle Cats, come one come all!
The students have been singing, dancing and acting their hearts out. And the director of Ovations Dance Academy arranged a special event to really get the students in the spirit. The kids went to visit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, along with Bay News 9. Of course, they bonded with some of the cats and kittens at Humane Society of Tampa Bay. If you’d like to meet one of their sweet purr-babies that are up for adoption, you can visit here. (At Q105, we love our own partnership with Humane Society of Tampa Bay.)
Buy Tickets To See Ovations Dance Academy’s CATS
If you’d like to see the production, it’s taking place at Dunedin High School on Saturday, July 27th. There are two showtimes. There’s a 1 P.M. and a 5P.M. If you’d like to buy tickets, you can visit here. Hope to see you at the Jellicle Ball!
My daughter just began attending Ovations Dance Academy over the summer. The director of Ovations Dance Academy is Orlando Pena. He was the Artistic Director and Choreographer of a dance academy in New York, but he decided to relocate during Covid and open a dance academy here in Tampa, Florida. He has toured and choregraphed all over the United States and Europe. The students love his passion and amazing instruction. It is so exciting to watch my daughter and the other students develop their dancing, singing and acting skills in such a positive, creative environment. The other instructors are fantastic, too.
Ovations is located at 13976 West Hillsborough Avenue, and you can call to find out more information by visiting online or calling 813-749-7001.
CATS isn’t the only production on the horizon. As we get into the fall and winter, Ovations Dance Academy will be performing Little Women and The Nutcracker.
