Now is the time to vote TPA Best Large Airport in the United States. USA Today is compiling their annual “best” lists. It’s exciting to see our own Tampa International Airport listed as one of the contenders for Best Large Airport in the country.
An panel of travel experts came up with a list of the twenty “Best Large Airports.” And from there, the public decides the winner. If you live in the Tampa Bay area, you may have some ideas as to why TPA is a contender. The expert panelists considered a multitude of factors. They analyzed which airports offer incredible amenities, which airports provide the best concession options, and of course, they had to consider travel destination options from the airports.

As a Tampa resident, I undoubtedly enjoy leaving from Tampa International. I know my navigation through the airport will be seamless. When I fly out of American, I love stopping at Café by Mise En Place for a quick, delicious bite. When I travel back from a trip, Tampa International welcomes me home. Feels good to arrive back in the Sunshine State. I would imagine that for the traveler who doesn’t live here and has a layover, that it is enjoyable to hang out at TPA. If a traveler needs to stay overnight, the Tampa Airport Marriott is right on property. It’s extraordinarily convenient.
