So You Went to a Funeral?
Fester saw this for the first time at work yesterday, and he was super perplexed. Have you ever heard of a funeral note?
The note reads
“This is to certify that [name] attended the funeral service of [deceased person] his or her service was held on [date] at [time]. Interment was in the [name of Cemetery] cemetery.”
It’s even signed by the funeral director of the cemetery. Is it fair for an employer to ask you to provide a funeral note? Providing a doctor’s note is super common, but hopefully this isn’t part of your company policy.
