Disney Will Invest $60 Billlion Into Theme Parks And Cruises
Walt Disney Co. is getting ready to roll out some big money to invest in the theme parks and cruise lines. This investment influx of $60 billion will occur over the next ten years.
That $60 billion is almost twice as much as what it’s spent in the most recent historical ten-year period. Park lovers will be thrilled about this news.
The company reviewed growth trends after making investments in the theme parks. For instance, they added Cars Land out in Disney California Adventure. They added Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Hollywood Studios. After making these big investments, the company saw big growth numbers.
When is the last time you made it over to Disney parks in Hong Kong, Paris and/or Tokyo? Me? I’ve never been. But for guests who visit the parks out of the country, they’ll be in for a treat. Walt Disney is opening Frozen-themed lands in those locations.
But we do have some fun things to look forward to locally, i.e. in Lake Buena Vista. Who doesn’t love Pirates of the Caribbean? Well, there’s a pirate-themed lounge coming to the Magic Kingdom. And the Test Track ride at Epcot will be spruced up, as well. According to Disney, “there is a deep well of stories” to explore at all of the theme parks. Better believe it, the way Disney churns out movies. I’m waiting for more Frozen rides, Encanto theme park rides…the list goes on and on.
Since Bob Iger has been back in the saddle as CEO, he’s all about ramping up theme park investment.
Disney Invests In Cruises
So there you have all the park details. How about the cruise line? Disney will add two ships in 2025 and then one more in 2026. Parents and kids LOVE those cruises.
