City Council Member Wants Ybor Bars & Clubs To Close Earlier

After the shootings in Ybor City, one Tampa City Council member is calling for Ybor's businesses to close early for now, according to Fox 13. Two died after shootings in ybor City this weekend. Over a dozen were injured.

This morning, Gwendolyn Henderson proposed that Ybor hot spots should have to close at 1AM until March. Henderson says that will give the city enough time to do some look into violence in the neighborhood and come up with ways to prevent it. At the moment, Ybor bars and clubs stay open until 3AM.

It's not only the clubs closing early. Henderson also wants to open up 7th Avenue to traffic. Right now, streets are closed off during busy hours. The concern is people loitering.

There are tons of photo opportunities at Sparkman Wharf. Whether you want to show your love for the 813 in front of the Tampa sign or by the neon heart and peace sign murals. Or you can hang in their open seating area for a more chilled vibe. Either way, Sparkman has the perfect backdrop for you.

Tampa's best-named hotel is a great spot for artsy photo-ops. The luminated staircase offers an appealing optical illusion, the Arts Club has plenty of seductive lighting, and the rooftop pool has so many options for a great backdrop!
