The Real Deal About Disney’s 2020 Florida Resident Deal

2020 has a lot new for Disney fans and if you’ve been waiting to do one of those Florida resident offers, this might be the time to jump and do it. Disney Marketing Strategy Manager Brian Webb talked to me about the $49 per day 4 day ticket. There are 2 big things I like about this year’s deal. There are no block out dates. You don’t have to use the days consecutively.

The tickets also double as concert tickets. That is the real deal to me. A concert these days typically costs way more than $49 so you’re really getting a free day at Disney. Epcot has a bunch of concerts with Q105 favorites coming up like The Pointer Sisters, Survivor, A Flock of Seagulls, Expose, Don Felder of The Eagles and Rick Springfield. See the full list here.

My friend Rachel got me to go on the Toy Story coaster “Slinky Dog Dash”… it looked like a kids ride so I was skeptical, but it was really fun. The sound effects along the way are awesome.

Had 2 incredible meals at Homecomin’ Kitchen at Disney Springs. This burger and the fried chicken sandwich I had were good. But be sure to get the chips with extra topping, the cole slaw and sweet tea. Just excellent.

We timed our ride PERFECTLY aboard the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! Every time we turned a corner the fireworks went off above us!

We also got a preview of the first ever Mickey and Minnie ride opening in March. My tip: if you go, stand in the middle near the front when you watch the movie!

Producer Coop and I designed this eyesore at #Epcot Test Track Monday. We went for as undesirable as possible. I think our concept is a masterpiece. We also decided to use Chinese for our text which in retrospect might have been a poor choice but I assume the loose translation is “hideous.”

“Soarin’ Around the World” is another favorite ride – I loved the California version of the ride but the trip around the world was cool – especially climbing the Eiffel Tower!
