February 14 Update: YES! The Tampa area McDonald's restaurants DO have them this year!

I'm already seeing it all over the Tampa TV stations' Facebook and Twitter posts. They're all talking about how Shamrock Shakes are back. Problem is these TV stations are just regurgitating stories from their national news writers. It's that time of year for Shamrock Shakes. But last year, Florida McDonald's restaurants didn't carry them. What about this year?
I just opened my McDonald's app and the minty shake of my childhood doesn't show up as an option. You only have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. It is very possible that it is just too early in the season since St. Patrick's Day is a month away. My listeners and I went on a wild hunt for Shamrock Shakes in the Tampa area but had no luck. The closest thing I found was a shake at Wawa that was pretty darn close.
