Report: Gas Price Plunge Ends In Florida
Florida gas prices statewide are averaging out to about $1.76. That’s 20 cents less than last month. It’s 66 cents lower than February’s price. Here in Tampa Bay, the current price for a gallon of gas is a bit lower, about $1.69 according to Channel 8. Drivers in the Bradenton and Sarasota area are paying a few cents more. But AAA says the bargain at the pump is coming to an end. More Floridians are driving which will drive prices back up. They say wholesale prices went up last week too. It all led to the end of a 76 day streak of price drops last week. [Source: Channel 8]
What phase 2 means for Florida
According to the state’s plan, phase two will occur “when there is no evidence of a rebound or resurgence of COVID-19 cases.”
