USAFLook to the skies over Tampa Bay Friday morning. It won't be the Blue Angels, but MacDill Air Force Base will honor our local first responders as they fly over major medical centers with two KC-135 Stratotankers. They'll take off at about 10:30am. The flight plan is a loop to fly from MacDill over to Brandon. They'll head down I-75 to Sarasota before coming back to St. Pete. The last leg flies over North Tampa before returning to MacDill.
According to Fox 13, the plan is to fly over Tampa General, Brandon Regional, South Bay Hospital, Sarasota Memorial, St. Athony's, St. Pete General Women's Hospital, Bay Pines VA, Largo Medical Center, Children's Medical Center, Tampa General North, and USF. [Source: Fox 13]
Tampa hoped for a visit from the Blue Angels, but Miami and Jacksonville got a chance to see them.
