No More Florida Performances For Phil Collins or Genesis

If you were hoping for one more chance to see Phil Collins or Genesis in Tampa, it looks bleak.

If you were hoping for "one more night" with Phil Collins or Genesis in Tampa, it looks bleak. The band says the dates they have left will be it and there are no Florida stops on that list. There are a handful of North American concerts in Boston, Pittsburg, New York, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal and Charlotte. They'll then do a few make good shows in Europe that were postponed due to COVID-19. And then that'll do it.

Some took the question mark on the tour's name "The Last Domino?" as a sign they might continue. Don't hold your breath. Genesis founding member Tony Banks tells USA Today, "If you want to see Genesis, don't put it off 'til the next one. We're not like the Stones."

Those who saw Phil Collins in Tampa at Amalie Arena a few years back will probably not be surprised by the news. Phil's mobility is limited due to nerve damage. His 20 year old son Nicholas has stepped in for him on drums. Phil will perform the remaining dates with Genesis seated.

If you're considering traveling to see the band one more time, some of the Genesis hits you'll hear include “I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe),” “The Cinema Show,” “Land of Confusion,” “Invisible Touch,” “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway,” and “That’s All”. [Source: USA Today]
