Another Arrest For Voter Fraud in The Villages
The Villages has always had the infamous claim to fame for sexually transmitted diseases. Well now they’ve got a new issue for their rep… trying to cheat.
Another resident of The Villages has been arrested for voter fraud. That’s the fourth time in the past month someone from the retirement community has been charged with the crime. Charles Franklin Barnes was taken into custody Tuesday (January 4). He’s accused of trying to cast multiple ballots in the 2020 presidential election.
Three registered Republican voters were charged in December with casting more than one vote. Authorities say Jay Ketcik voted by mail in Florida and then cast an absentee ballot in Michigan and that Joan Halstead voted in Florida on election day after already casting an absentee ballot in New York.
There’s no word on the political party of Charles Barnes, this newest resident of The Villages who’s been arrested. He’s been released on a $2,000 bond. [Source: WRIC]
