When you have the world's largest collection of anything, you should be in the Guinness Book of World Records right? Guess not.

A 31 year Largo man has amassed over 2,000 copies of Titanic on VHS and he just can't get the love, according to Creative Loafing. He's hoping to acquire a million copies of the movie. Why? He wants to build his replica of the Titanic using VHS tapes. A man can dream.

According to the article, almost all of his collection has been acquired from donations to fans he's garnered on social media. People from all over the world have sent their copies of Titanic to his post office box. So why won't the Guinness Book of World Records acknowledge this, uh, accomplishment?

Apparently they don't recognize duplicates in the record books. And since his collection is all duplicates, it seems like he's doomed. Thus the idea to create the replica of the Titanic since that would be a unique creation.
