Tampa’s 10 Biggest Concerts Already Announced for 2024

From 70s rock legends to 80s boybands, there are some big time headline acts are coming through Tampa next year. Two of the biggest concerts were actually supposed to happen in 2023. But health issues popped up forcing them to be postponed. This list is a mix of Q105 favorites from hairbands to boybands and everything in between.

One show that was just announced moments after creating this list was another can’t miss… Def Leppard and Journey! They’ll play Camping World Stadium in Orlando with opening act Cheap Trick. More on that show here.

Nothing makes a better stocking stuffer than concert tickets. Here are the 10 biggest 2024 shows that Santa knows are on the wish list for Tampa area music fans.

• February 24: Billy Joel & Sting

  A one night only performance together at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. This is not a national tour - it's truly a one night only event. Tickets have officially sold out but there are plenty of resale tickets available starting at about $150.

• July 19: New Kids On The Block

  With Paula Abdul at the MIDFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. DJ Jazzy Jeff opens the show. The youngest "Kid" is now in his 50s, but the New Kids are still going strong. With lots of 80s hits like (You Got It) The Right Stuff, Hangin' Tough and Please Don't Go Girl, and Paula's hits like Opposites Attract, Forever Your Girl and Straight Up, this will be a trip back to 1989.

• February 16: Rod Stewart

  A rare chance to see an intimate performance with Rod at the Hard Rock Event Center in Tampa. The last time Rod played the room, he walked out on stage and saw the small audience and jokingly asked if he was getting his normal fee.
• April 4: Madonna

  Share

  One night only at Amalie Arena. It'll be Madonna's first Tampa show since 1985 when she played the USF Sun Dome! This is the rescheduled date. Madonna had a health scare and had to postpone this show originally scheduled for September 2023. Tickets for that show will be honored at this one.

• March 13: Rick Springfield

  See Rick perform loads of Q105 hits like "Jesse's Girl" and "Don't Talk To Strangers" at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota.

• June 3: The Rolling Stones

  If you missed them in Tampa, you have one more chance to see the Rolling Stones when the Hackney Diamonds '24 tour comes to Camping World Stadium in Orlando. And if you miss this show, you'll have to catch them on one of their future tours over the next few decades... because even though the show is sponsored by AARP, the Stones show no signs of slowing down.
• March 4: ZZ Top

  Back again one more time... this time at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City. While we miss Dusty, the band sounded great at their performance at The Hard Rock last year. Hear them perform all their big Q105 hits like Sharp Dressed Man, Legs and Tush.

• June 19: Alanis Morrissette

  With Joan Jett & The Blackhearts at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. Alanis is best known for her Q105 hits like "You Oughta Know" and "Ironic." Add in Joan's hits like "I Love Rock n' Roll" and "Hate Myself For Loving You," and this will be one night of rockin' hits!

• August 16: Chicago

  SO many great Q105 hits over the years. See Chicago with Earth Wind & Fire at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa.
• February 14: Aerosmith

  The farewell tour stops at Amalie Arena in Tampa. The show was supposed to happen in 2023 but Steven Tyler had some scary vocal cord injuries that forced the band to stop touring. Tickets for the original date have already been digitally updated. Aerosmith and The Black Crowes will also play shows in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale that week if you're up for the road trip.

One show seems to be missing. What about Q105’s Freestyle Explosion at Amalie Arena? Will it be back for a 4th year in a row? We don’t have the official word yet, but here are some of my favorite show from this year’s megashow.

  I told this story on stage this year. Rob was one of the first to get me into dance music. I grew up where they only really played hairbands on the radio. And I still love hairbands. But when I channel surfed and landed on Dance Party USA as a teenager and Rob's song "It Takes Two" would come on, I'd bust a move in the living room.

  I always call TKA a bunch of crooks. K7 and the guys always steal the damn show. Every. Time. When K7 busts out his solo hit, I've learned to stay behind the curtain and now watch from the crowd because listeners film me dancing like a fool.
