Buc-ees fans, another Florida location is on the way. If you love those Beaver Nuggets, unfortunately you're going to have to fill up the gas tank at some other station because it's not going to be in the Tampa area.

What's so special about Buc-ees?

The food and shopping is a big draw for many. Buc-ee’s has an enormous selection of brisket, nuts, jerky, fudge, and of course Beaver Nuggets. It’s a sweet corn puff snack that’s similar to caramel corn. Check out my pics from my first visit to a Buc-ee's below for my tip regarding the Beaver nuggets. The plain original flavor is good. But the Bold n' Spicy ones rocked my world.

It's not just food at Buc-ee's. If you’ve been on the search for a Buc-ee’s Beaver onesie, you’re in luck. There's a ton of t-shirts and other forms of Buc-ee's merch to choose from. Their fans are passionate and love to show it. The other big thing Buc-ee’s is known for? Their bathrooms! They promise to be spotless and the nicest bathrooms of any gas station you’ve ever seen.

Buc-ee's Florida plans

Buc-ee's got their start in 1982. Right now, there are only 2 Buc-ee’s locations in Florida. There’s one in Daytona and one in Saint Augustine. A third location has yet to open but that'll be in Ocala soon. It'll be just east of I-75 near Highway 326. The Ocala Buc-ees will have 120 gas pumps and 28 EV spots. It'll be the largest convenience store in the world when it does open.

The 4th Buc-ees location will be in North St. Lucie County, according to ABC Action News. It'll be off I-95 on Indrio Road near Fort Pierce. That's not much good to us. It's a 2-1/2 hour drive away from the Tampa area. Where would you put one around here? I have to think the Plant City or Lakeland area would be ideal for them. [Source: ABC]

Geno’s First Buc-ee’s Visit in Daytona

I don't get over to Daytona often, but when I was there for a concert, I had to check out the famous Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets. I'd heard all about the Beaver Nuggets, beef jerky, fudge and other Buc-ee's goodies everyone raves about.

Buc-ee's is like an enormous Walmart. To call it just a gas station is really wrong. It's more like a Walmart with a lot of gas pumps... over 100! And Buc-ee's has lots of stuff to ruin what's left of your New Year's resolution. Here were the things that caught my attention during my first visit at their Daytona location.

Beaver Nuggets

OK I get the Beaver Nuggets thing now. I have a sweet tooth so I get the hype.

Jackpot!

This-was-my-favorite-purchase.jpg

This was my favorite purchase. I like the regular Beaver Nuggets that are sweet. But these were phenomenal.

FRIED Apple Pies

Im-always-down-for-fried-apple-pie.jpg

I'm always down for fried apple pie. It's the biggest menu item I miss at McDonald's. Whenever I get to visit a country where they still serve them like England, it's a must.

Not just sweets...

Brisket-was-decent.jpg

The brisket was decent but honestly not outstanding. I don't think I'd order it a second time.

Fresh chips?

OK-but-not-memorable.jpg

These were OK but not really memorable. I'd pass on these too.

Didnt try the fudge but it looked good.

Gas gas gas as far as the eye can see.

You're not going to have to wait long in line for gas at Buc-ee's. They have EV charging spots now too.
