Gotta love it when companies step up like this. If you have one too many celebrating your team’s win or drowning your sorrows after defeat Sunday, don’t risk your life and mine by driving drunk. Use Uber. Call a friend. Relax and sober up. Or… get help from AAA. The “Tow To Go” program is already up and running in several states and Florida is one of them. Call 855-2-TOW-2-GO (855-286-9246) and they’ll take you and your vehicle home.

Now of course there are limits – this is good for up to 10 miles. You can go home or “someplace safe” according to their website. The free program runs through 6AM Monday morning so there’s really no excuse. And NO, you do NOT need to be a AAA member to take advantage of this. That’s pretty cool. Please pass along so we can help keep our roads safe this weekend. We know what happened near the airport after Gasparilla late Saturday night.

AAA says they’ve prevented over 25,000 drivers from getting behind the wheel drunk since starting Tow To Go. They’ll do this program again for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.

Other states offering this include Georgia, Michigan, Iowa, North Dakota, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Indiana. Ironically California, Missouri and Kansas are not on the list.
