Elsa Didn’t Stop Poison’s Bret Michaels From Seeing The Tampa Bay Lightning Lift The Stanley Cup
He was looking for nothin’ but a good time and was willing to do whatever it takes. Poison lead singer Bret Michaels was supposed to be here in Florida this summer for The Stadium Tour with Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Joan Jett. But instead his visits have been to support the Tampa Bay Lightning.
One of dozens of celebrity Bolts fans, Bret planned to fly into Tampa to catch Game 5 against the Montreal Canadiens. Hurricane Elsa derailed that as Tampa International Airport shut down operations Tuesday night. Bret didn’t let Elsa be the thorn in his rose. He hopped in the car and decided to Ride The Wind, driving right through Elsa‘s path. He posted a video to his Twitter and it didn’t look pretty: “We are in the middle of this tropical storm and it’s comin’ down. You can barely see anything.”

Bret did make it to Tampa. He was shown on the big screen at Amalie when there were only minutes to go as the Tampa Bay Lightning were clinging on to a 1-0 lead.
