Snow may look pretty on Christmas cards, but living in it for 4 or 5 months every year is an entirely different story. I grew up in Maine. Most of my adult life I’ve lived in the Boston area not far from where this happened. I always hear from friends and family back home how they’d never live here in Florida because of hurricanes. As someone who’s been here in the Tampa area now for about a decade, I can tell you with 100% certainty, it’s a lot safer to live here than up there… especially this time of year.
Check out this incredible video from this weekend shared by police up in Massachusetts. A tractor trailer carrying mail and packages plunged into the water in Weston, which is about 10 minutes west of Boston. Slippery snow covered roads were probably a factor. The most mind-blowing part of this? The driver is OK! He stood atop the tractor trailer while he waited for help to arrive. Divers secured him and he was taken to a local hospital to get checked out.

2 Feet Of Snow Dumped On the Northeast
When you live where I grew up, this time of year you keep a broom in the car in case there’s snow.
