Q105’s First Look Inside The Sound at Coachman Park
Two weeks from tonight, Cheap Trick takes the stage for the first live performance at The Sound, the new concert venue at the brand new Coachman Park in Clearwater. We got to get a sneak peek inside and this is really something special.
The new Coachman Park tour began near the main park entrance. The timing was perfect. Just as we walked by, the fountains were turned on for the first time. Water cascades down the path to a botanical garden and playground. From there we walked along the water where we’ve enjoyed so many sunsets at Q105 concerts over the years.

Our tour wrapped up at The Sound where we got to get the first look of the completed concert space where everyone from Chicago to Goo Goo Dolls to Kenny Loggins to Peter Frampton will perform this summer. Free tickets for the first concert with Cheap Trick are gone. However, some standby seats will be given out the day of the show. Even if you don’t have a ticket, you’ll be able to enjoy the music as it flows out of the concert space into the park, where no ticket is needed. Just bring a blanket and have a good time!
There’s still two weeks of work left to do before the big opening, but enjoy this first look inside Coachman Park and The Sound!
