Florida Music Festival Hosting ’80s Hairbands
Man does this lineup take me back to high school! I’m going to have to dig out my acid wash jeans and Def Leppard concert t-shirt. Ladies, see if you can get your hands on enough Aqua Net because this will be a LONG 4 days.
Key West will be the spot for a giant get together with just about every big hairband that ruled MTV back in the 80s. The “Rok Island 2022” festival will feature performances by Bret Michaels from Poison, Loverboy, Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, Night Ranger, Winger, Skid Row, Jackyl, Warrant, The Bulletboys, Enuff Z’Nuff, Dokken, Slaughter, Lita Ford, Great White and a bunch more!
Concerts will be held at The Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheater in Key West from January 14th through the 17th. Tickets and packages will go on sale August 9 at 10am. The venue is rather small, so it could be a quick sell out. According to the official website, capacity is about 4,000. Packages include a festival pass for all 4 days, a sunset sail, and a concierge to help you book your stay. Or you can just buy a pass that’ll get you into the concerts and take care of the rest yourself. No word on how much tickets will be. We all know hotel prices in Key West ain’t cheap… so might be a good idea to start hunting for a room now.
